8.8.3 Fulfillment Handoff and Delivery Status Ownership

Use this ownership map so Sales/POS, Warehouse, and Integration teams do not work the same order from conflicting screens.

Order stagePrimary ownerWhere the team worksWhen ownership hands off Channel pull, mapping, and sync correctionIntegration AdministrationVolume 7 - Settings > Integrations > OmnichannelHandoff occurs only after the order is linked cleanly into the ERP and no connector conflict remains. Customer-facing order review and fulfillment promiseSales / POSCommerce, POS Orders, or the active POS orderHandoff occurs when address, payment context, requested time, and branch fulfillment intent are complete and ready for warehouse action. Pick, pack, stage, and dispatch releaseWarehouse / InventoryVolume 3 - Warehouse Operations using the linked order and printed Pick Slip (F8)Handoff occurs when the order is physically picked, packed, and released to pickup, courier, or 3PL execution. Technical delivery-log or queue replay follow-upIntegration AdministrationVolume 7Only used when the order still has a channel or connector problem after operational handling.

Sales/POS owns the customer promise and must not ask the warehouse to pick an order that is still waiting on import, mapping, or queue repair. Warehouse owns physical execution and must not use channel-sync screens as the authority for pick, pack, or dispatch release. Integration Administration owns connector health, manual pulls, and queue conflicts, but does not own physical fulfillment after the ERP order is linked. If delivery status is disputed, start with the linked ERP order and printed warehouse evidence, then review the integration queue only if a technical mismatch remains.
