Before you start Have the customer, items or services, approved prices, tax treatment, discount authority, validity date, and delivery assumptions.
Steps 1. Open Quotes and create a new quote for the correct customer. 2. Add items or services, quantities, prices, discounts, tax, delivery details, and the quote validity date. 3. Review the quote total and terms with the customer record before saving the draft. 4. Submit or approve the quote when required, then send it through the approved email or document method. 5. When the customer accepts, open the quote and use the conversion action to create the permitted sales order or invoice.
Check your work The quote history shows the correct customer, version, approval status, sent date, and resulting sales document when converted.
When to stop and ask for help Stop if a requested price or discount exceeds your authority or a customer acceptance changes the commercial terms.
