8.7.4 Pick, Pack, Stage, and Ship Customer Orders

Open the linked order in POS or from the imported WooCommerce pending list. Select Pick Slip (F8) to print the warehouse picking slip. Use the printed slip as the picking control sheet for shelf, bin, or stock-room retrieval. Pick each line in SKU order and compare physical quantity against the order quantity before moving the order to the packing bench. For tracked items, verify the captured serial, lot, or expiry details shown in the cart Track column before sealing the order. If the picked quantity does not match available stock, pause the order and use Inventory - Scan and Count to confirm the variance before approving any substitution, partial fill, or back-order decision. Pack the goods, attach the printed picking slip or carton note, and clearly separate Pickup, Delivery, and Inter-branch staging lanes.

PLATFORM WARNING: Never mark an order as ready for dispatch from memory or from a verbal handoff. The pick team must work from the printed Pick Slip (F8) output and the live order record so that substitutions, shortages, and tracked-item captures stay auditable.
