Run a payroll preview before paying employees

Step-by-step Eprecus guidance for run a payroll preview before paying employees.

Who this guide is for Payroll clerks, payroll managers, accountants, and reviewers.

Before you start Confirm the payroll period is open and all time, leave, new hires, terminations, recurring items, and bank details due for the period have been reviewed.

Steps 1. Open the Pre-Payroll Command Center and select the payroll period, pay group, and employee scope. 2. Run the readiness or integrity checks and open every blocker or warning that applies to the selected scope. 3. Correct each issue in its owning HR, time, leave, bank, or payroll setup area. Do not use an override to hide an unexplained problem. 4. Run the preview and review gross pay, deductions, employer costs, net pay, exceptions, and material differences from the previous period. 5. Save or share the approved preview evidence according to your payroll control procedure.

Check your work The preview has no unresolved blockers and the authorized reviewer agrees that the totals and employee exceptions are expected.

When to stop and ask for help Stop before execution when statutory values, bank payments, net pay, or significant variances are uncertain.
