Create a customer invoice and record payment

Step-by-step Eprecus guidance for create a customer invoice and record payment.

Who this guide is for Accounts receivable clerks, sales administrators, and finance staff.

Before you start Have the approved customer, goods or services, prices, tax treatment, payment terms, and supporting order or delivery reference.

Steps 1. Open Accounts Receivable or Sales Invoices and create a new invoice. 2. Select the customer and enter the invoice date, due date, currency, reference, and delivery information. 3. Add the lines, quantities, prices, discounts, tax, and account coding, then review the total before saving. 4. Submit or approve the invoice and send it using the approved delivery method. 5. When payment arrives, open the customer payment action, apply the receipt to the correct invoice, and enter the bank or payment reference.

Check your work The customer balance, invoice status, and payment application agree with the invoice and payment evidence.

When to stop and ask for help Stop if the customer is wrong, the invoice could be a duplicate, or the received amount cannot be matched to an approved source.
