8.2.2 Corporate Structure Mapping Before Operational Setup
Open Org Setup immediately after sign-up and complete the structural model before any business records are created.
Open Org Setup > Organization Profile and confirm the registered legal name, trade name, business registration numbers, primary country, and official contact details. Open Org Setup > Legal Entities and create each legal entity the organization will report under. For each legal entity, set the reporting currency, fiscal start month, base tax posture, and default address before saving. Open Org Setup > Currencies and confirm the base currency first, then add any transactional or reporting currencies the organization will use. Open Org Setup > Tax Setup and choose the default tax regime, tax registration identifiers, invoice tax treatment, and any employer or statutory tax profiles required by the market. Open Org Setup > Branches and create the branch hierarchy in parent-to-child order, starting with head office or the principal operating branch. Assign each branch to the correct legal entity, operating currency, tax treatment, and business address. Open Org Setup > Departments, Cost Centers, or equivalent classification screens and create the internal structure used for reporting and approvals. Review the final structure map with Finance, HR, and Operations leads before any employee, item, customer, or supplier records are loaded.
