Before you start Have the approved change request, effective date, and confirmation of whether the change affects a payroll period that has already been processed.
Steps 1. Open the employee record and review the active employment terms before creating a change. 2. Use the edit or change action for the correct employment, job, department, manager, or remuneration section. 3. Enter the approved new value and the effective date. Do not overwrite historical information when the screen provides effective dating. 4. Save the change and review the payroll readiness or impact information shown for the employee. 5. Run a payroll preview when the change affects pay, deductions, tax, leave, or an open payroll period.
Check your work The employee record shows the new detail from the intended date and the previous history remains understandable.
When to stop and ask for help Stop if the pay period is closed, the change requires a retroactive correction, or the request is not approved.
