Fix a timeclock exception

Step-by-step Eprecus guidance for fix a timeclock exception.

Before you start Have the employee's schedule and trustworthy evidence for the missing or incorrect clock event.

Steps 1. Open Time and Attendance and use the exception list or swipe deck to find the employee and date. 2. Read the exception before changing it. Check whether it is a missing punch, duplicate punch, schedule mismatch, or location issue. 3. Add or adjust the clock event using the correct date and time, then record the reason when the screen requests one. 4. Save the correction and re-open the employee's day to confirm the working time is now reasonable. 5. Submit the correction for approval if your tenant uses an approval step, then check payroll readiness.

Check your work The exception is cleared or has a documented pending reason, and the corrected time is not duplicated.

When to stop and ask for help Stop if the correction would create unapproved overtime, contradict approved leave, or affect a closed payroll without an authorized correction.
